How it works:

You see 3D in the real world because your left eye and right eye each see slightly different views of the world. Your brain processes these two views into a single image with depth. On a 3D TV, the TV displays alternating left and right images. IOD’s shutter glasses sync with the images shown on the TV so that the only the left eye sees the left eye image, and only the right eye sees the right eye image. The result is great 3D!
