The VideoCarbon DSR-100 Digital Shift Recorder is an advanced, portable,
evidentiary digital video recorder that sets a new precedence for capturing
high-quality video evidence during the duty-shift of Law Enforcement personnel.
Compact and robust, the DSR-100 seamlessly records critical embedded time-date
data in parallel with video evidence in the demanding high shock and vibration
environments that today’s Law Enforcement and Security personnel work
in every day. The DSR-100 captures evidentiary video where the incidents
occur!
Advanced Digital Recording for Law Enforcement
The versatility of the DSR-100 is unprecedented. Portable enough to be
body-worn to capture those important incidents away from the vehicle,
the DSR-100 utilizes innovative quick-disconnect cabling
so only a single connection is required to ready the DSR-100 to capture
evidentiary video. At the end of the duty-shift, the DSR-100 slips into
its optional desktop cradle for video playback or archival of the day’s
events. No product in the marketplace can match the diverse utility or
ease of use of the VideoCarbon DSR-100.
The DSR-100 delivers comprehensive feature sets usually found only in
facility-based digital recorders. Features such as embedded time-date
stamping and pre-event recording illustrate the
DSR-100’s broad utility. To help maintain chain-of-evidence, a unique
serial number for each DSR-100 is also embedded in all video content recorded.
To eliminate the weight of additional batteries and the clutter of cable
harnesses, the DSR-100 provides power to external 12V cameras and
microphones through a single quick-release, locking AV connection.
Further, the DSR-100 uses a special video format that can be played on
either AV devices or personal computers (PCs) and can be burned directly
to a DVD without extensive video editing or rendering.
Even with this high level of sophistication, the DSR-100 is still very
easy to use. The DSR-100 is controlled through simple two-button operation
to both power-on the unit and to record. Previously recorded video content
can be rapidly transferred to a personal computer via USB 2.0 or archived
directly to DVD with Windows-based DVD authoring software. Video can be
played back on either a TV or video monitor, or on a Windows-based PC
using the VideoCarbon Media Player software.
The VideoCarbon Digital Shift Recorder sets the new standard for ruggedized,
portable digital video recorders serving the needs of working Law Enforcement
and Security professionals - everywhere.
